Ever thought that a Pre-Lit Frasier fir artificial Christmas tree ($1,000) was a little over the top? Think again! In celebration of the festive season, we’ve searched far and wide (and mostly googled) for the most expensive Christmas trees we could find.
3. Swarovski Crystal-LED Christmas tree, Hong Kong
At around 90 feet, this tree formed part of the Hong Kong Winterfest, and was adorned with 40,000 Swarovski crystals. The problem with the tree was that its value was never questioned and, therefore, never determined. However, some have estimated that it was worth over $1 million.
2. Preserved Rose Mini Xmas bush, Takashimaya Department Store
Size definitely doesn’t matter – not when your price tag is $1.8 million. The 16-inch table top Christmas tree was made from preserved flowers and decorated with 400 diamonds. The price tag was enhanced even more with a special teddy bear.
1. Emirates Palace Hotel Christmas tree, Abu Dhabi
At $11.3 million, the most expensive Christmas tree in the world decorated the lobby of the 302-room Emirates Palace Hotel. The tree stood at 43.2 feet tall and was decorated with 181 precious gems, diamonds, pearls – all provided by Khalifa Khouri of Style Gallery. Amazingly, the tree alone was only worth a mere $10,000.
